Private indoor pools are mostly found in larger cabins and lodges, so you will see more of them around Pigeon Forge and Sevierville than in small Gatlinburg cabins. Expect to pay well above the area's typical $367 to $417 average nightly rate.
What to check before booking
- Private or shared. "Pool access" often means a seasonal outdoor resort pool, not one inside the cabin.
- Heating. Is the pool heated, to what temperature and is there an extra fee?
- Size and depth. Some indoor pools are closer to plunge pools.
- Safety. Is there a door alarm, gate or cover for young children?
- Season. Some hosts shut pools for maintenance in certain months.

When an indoor pool is worth it
For families visiting between November and March, an indoor pool can replace a paid attraction every day. For a summer trip, a resort's shared outdoor pool is often enough. See rainy-day things to do if you are weighing it up.
