How many days?
One full day covers the highlights for most adults. Families with young children often do better with two shorter days and an afternoon break at the cabin, which is the main reason to stay close.
Beating Parkway traffic
- Arrive before opening; traffic and parking lines build quickly.
- Use back roads from your cabin rather than the main Parkway where you can.
- For Christmas evenings, plan to stay late and leave after the first wave of traffic.
